Questions parents ask

How does matching work?
A person on our team reads your request, looks at the tutors we have approved for that subject and grade, checks who is genuinely free at your times, and assigns one. You are told who and why before the first lesson.
Who are lessons for?
Children and teenagers (ages 4–18) in the United States. A parent or guardian sets everything up. A learner can have their own restricted sign-in when you choose to invite them.
Are lessons online or in person?
Online, one tutor with one learner, in a private classroom that runs in a normal web browser with camera, microphone and screen sharing. There is nothing to install.
How do I see progress after a lesson?
The tutor publishes a written update after each lesson: what was covered, what went well, what to practice, and the plan for next time. It appears on your dashboard with any homework.
What happens after I submit a request?
Your request shows as “with our team” on your dashboard. We choose a tutor and email you when the match is made. Lessons are then scheduled with you, and nothing is booked until you agree.
How much do lessons cost?
Every lesson shows its price in US dollars before you pay, and nothing is charged automatically. We agree pricing with each family directly rather than publishing a rate card we might not be able to hold.
Can I move or cancel a lesson?
Yes. Contact our team and we will reschedule or cancel it. The change is recorded on the lesson, so there is never a question about what was agreed.
